Festival at night

This photo shows a danjiri [a kind of festival float] running on the street in Hirano, Osaka where Kumata Jinja Shrine Summer Festival was being held.

夜の祭り

こちらは杭全神社（平野区）の夏祭りで南港通りを疾駆するだんじり。祭りには神輿や枕太鼓など色々ありますがやっぱりだんじりが一番ですね。

Atmospheric lighting

This is a lantern display of Ikutama Jinja Shrine. These lanterns were making the festival night more dreamy one.

提灯のあかり

こちらは祭りの時の生國魂神社（生玉さん）の提灯。 提灯というのは簡素なものですがとてもよい雰囲気を創ってくれますね。

Girl drummers

They gave a brilliant performance of the festival drumming at Ikutama Summer Festival of Ikutama Jinja Shrine in Osaka.

女子太鼓

こちらは生玉夏祭り（生國魂神社）での女子による枕太鼓ですがとても立派なものでした。大阪三大夏祭りといえば愛染祭り・天神祭り・住吉祭りのことを言うようですが、この生玉祭りも加えて大阪四大夏祭りと呼びたいですね。

Jizo at the festival

I met this Jizo [a Buddhist Deity] at Aizendo Temple in Osaka when Aizenmatsuri [Aizen Festival] was being held there. The festival is said to be the first summer festival in Osaka, followed by numerous other summer festivals.

祭りの地蔵

こちらは愛染祭りでお見かけした愛染堂の地蔵さま。愛染祭りは無数にある大阪の夏祭りの中から大阪三大夏祭りに選ばれてるんですね。この日はきれいな愛染娘の声も響き地蔵さまも少し浮かれてるようでした。

Whisper in the air

This rose [called 'Geisha'] looked as if it was whispering in the twilight.

このバラ（Geisha）はたそがれの光の中で囁いているような風情でした。

This rose is called 'Blue Bajou', which shows its ultimate beauty in the twilight.

このバラはBlue Bajou。たそがれ時が一番美しい。

こちらは Favorite というバラの花。たくさんの蕾に囲まれて誇らしげでした。
