Striking colour of the shrine

There are an uncountable number of shrines in Japan along with tons of temples. While some shrines look moderate, others have striking appearances like this one with a contrast between vermilion and white.

Much more picturesque than our drab Western churches

Our western churches can eb charming in their own ways, but I live those simple and elegant temples andhrines from Japan.
