I'm a dabbling photographer strolling around Osaka and Kyoto with a sense of haiku.
This blog is focusing mostly on Osaka. There's a sibling 'Kyoto Photo Stroll'.

Under the sun
I found this well-designed lantern at Kumata Shrine Summer Festival in the sunny afternoon, which seemed to be waiting for the evening to come at the entrance of a traditional house in Osaka.

Fine festival day
The festival was blessed with a fine weather but the scorching sun was very hard not only for those who were pushing the festival float but also for the spectators.

Watching a festival float
July is the month for festivals in Osaka. As usual my first festival was Kumata Shrine Summer Festival (aka Hirano Danjiri Festival), where I found this stylish man who was tenderly watching a festival float of his town.
