A modern commuter train was passing by an old storehouse in Osaka.

蔵と電車

こちらは城東区の古い蔵とJR片町線電車。このような風景は大阪市内では珍しいのではないでしょうか。

Passing over the river

This is a train operated by Keihan Railway which connects Osaka and Kyoto at a reasonable fare.

川を渡る電車

こちらは大川（寝屋川）を渡る京阪電車。京都へ行く時はいつもお世話になってます。

Classic commuter train

This orange train is one of commuter trains in Osaka. As it is very venerable it is to be replaced by a new model in the near future.

古雅な電車

こちらは京橋駅に進入する大阪環状線電車。新型の３２３系が公開されたのでこの趣きのある車体（１０３系・２０１系）もいよいよ見納め。

Osaka in spring

Osaka is definitely most exciting in spring with cherry blossoms blooming.

Signboard in the field

I found this desirable signboard when moving from Osaka to Kyoto. The sign reads "Hold to Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution". The article bans the use of the force to settle international disputes.

野立て看板 

こちらは阪急電車で京都へ行く時にいつも気になっていた野立て看板。「守れ！憲法９条」とあり大阪教職員組合様のご提供。しかしこのままハナタレ安倍晋三と右翼団体日本会議を放置すればいつかこの看板も焼かれてしまうだろう。

White bullet train

I captured this high-speed train [Shinkansen] near the border of Osaka and Kyoto under the perfect blue sky.

大阪と京都の境にある山崎は自然と文化遺産が豊かな所。実はここにはもう一つ鉄道という現代文明の魅力があり山と川に挟まれた隘路を新幹線・ＪＲ・阪急が競うように走り抜ける。

The train was going between an old area and a developed area in Osaka.

資本主義の格差を抜けて

こちらは大阪城公園駅近くを走る大阪環状線電車。背景は中央区の大阪ビジネスパークのビルですが手前の古い民家は城東区となります。城東区のこの辺りには開高健の「日本三文オペラ」で知られるアパッチ族の部落があったようです。

Running through the green city

We'll be missing badly this kind of train when they are replaced by new models next year.

大阪環状線・国鉄１０３系電車。このオレンジ色の雄姿が見れるのもあと少しです。

Orange train

This orange train is running on Osaka Loop Line which is the most important and efficient railway in Osaka. Sadly, trains of this kind are to be replaced by new models from 2016.

オレンジ色の電車

こちらは大阪人にこよなく愛されている大阪環状線の現在の主力電車（２０１系・１０３系）ですが、残念なことに来年（２０１６年）から味気ないステンレスの新型車両（３２３系）に置き換えられるようです。

Orange train

This orange train, running on the Osaka Kanjosen Line, may look too plain but it is actually very reliable for us stopping at 19 stations on the loopline in the centre of Osaka.

オレンジ色の電車

大阪人にはおなじみのオレンジ色の環状線電車。見た目は地味すぎるかもしれないが実に頼りになるやつです。

Running through the city

This orange train is typical of Osaka Loop Line (operated by JR West) which connects 19 stations in the central Osaka. This year has marked the 50th anniversary of the railway and you can see the sign to celebrate it on the face of the train.

都市を駆け抜けて

大阪環状線が全線開通したのは１９６１年の４月２５日だという。したがって今年は５０周年という特別な年であった。しかしながら一部の列車には記念ヘッドマークも付いているとはいえ、なぜか盛り上がらなかったようである。4/25 というのはＪＲにとって9/11や3/11のような悪夢の日なのかもしれない。
