You cannot see that in this photo but there were a lot of people enjoying parties under the gorgeous cherry blossoms. In the background is Osaka Castle.

春の祭典

大阪城公園は大阪で有数の桜の名所。宴会も壮大でした。

Fading light

The light was fading away on the ume blossom as I struggled to make a composition.

消えゆく光

構図に奮闘する中、梅の花から光は消えていった。

Changing into a blossom

This tiny ume bud was changing into a beautiful blossom.

蕾から花へ

こちらは淋子梅の蕾。もう少しで美しい梅の花。

The cat and the ume tree

It's common to see birds on ume trees but it's funny to see a cat resting on the tree.

猫と梅

梅といえばメジロが定番だが大阪城公園では時々猫も現れる。残念ながら可憐な梅には似合わないようです。

Lying on the sprig

Ume buds were neatly lying on the sprig waiting for the time to bloom.

小枝の蕾

こちらは八重揚羽という梅。咲くべき時を静かに待っていました。
