Sea of blossoms

Osaka Castle looks floating on a sea of cherry blossoms. But we can have this view only for around one week.

花の海

大阪城が桜の海に浮かんでいるように見えますがこれもほんの一週間ほどの眺め。

The first sakura

Sakura blossoms [cherry blossoms] start to bloom after ume blossoms' season, declaring the arrival of the spring.

一番咲き

桜の開花は春の到来を宣言してるようです。

梅花や　ゆかしく開き　春の夢　（拙作）

Modest smile

I found a modest smile on this small ume blossom in the cold light of winter.

上品な微笑

こちらは鈴鹿の関と呼ばれる小型の梅の花。冬の冷たい光の中、しとやかな微笑といった風情。

Winter blossom

Ume blossoms are now starting to bloom in Osaka, adding some spring flavour to bleak winter days.

冬の花

大阪でも漸く梅が咲き始める。これは大阪城公園の寒紅。寒々とした冬の日々に春の風味を加えながら。

Winter blue

Despite its coldness winter sometimes gives us clear deep blue sky.

冬は寒いものではあるが時として澄んだ紺青の空を見せてくれる。

Special seat

This cat will be enjoying the view of ume blossoms (there are many ume trees behind the cat) on the spacial seat soon.

特等席

もう少ししたらこの猫も特等席で梅の花を楽しんでることでしょう。

In bud

It won't take so long for ume trees to come into bloom.

つぼみ

梅の花が咲き始めるのもそう遠くはないでしょう。

Dancing trees

This photo shows Osaka Castle and bare ume trees which looked as if they were dancing to welcome their flowering season.

こちらは大阪城公園の梅の木。花の季節を前に踊っているような風情でした。
