Fake shrine on the wall


If you have visited Japan you may have wondered why there are so many miniature shrines on the wall. Actually they are not related to shrines at all but just warnings that you cannot have a pee there.

にせ神社

こういう物を実際に何と呼ぶかは知らないのだが日本では壁から電柱まで至る所で見ることができる。何でも立ちションを防止するための物だということだが、恍惚とした表情でこの鳥居に小便をかけるおっちゃんも珍しいわけではなく効果の程は怪しいようである。

という意味なのでしょうか?
