Jizo at the festival

I met this Jizo [a Buddhist Deity] at Aizendo Temple in Osaka when Aizenmatsuri [Aizen Festival] was being held there. The festival is said to be the first summer festival in Osaka, followed by numerous other summer festivals.

祭りの地蔵

こちらは愛染祭りでお見かけした愛染堂の地蔵さま。愛染祭りは無数にある大阪の夏祭りの中から大阪三大夏祭りに選ばれてるんですね。この日はきれいな愛染娘の声も響き地蔵さまも少し浮かれてるようでした。

Whisper in the air

This rose [called 'Geisha'] looked as if it was whispering in the twilight.

中空の囁き

このバラ（Geisha）はたそがれの光の中で囁いているような風情でした。

This rose is called 'Blue Bajou', which shows its ultimate beauty in the twilight.

このバラはBlue Bajou。たそがれ時が一番美しい。

The first bloom

This is a picture of 'Favorite Rose' which looked so proud to be surrounded by many buds.

こちらは Favorite というバラの花。たくさんの蕾に囲まれて誇らしげでした。

A boat in the city

This small boat was showing a good contrast to the ever-multiplying city.

都市の中の小船

この小さな船は拡大し続ける都市ととても対照的でした。

Viewing cherry blossoms

Osaka Mint is famous for its vast collection of various cherry trees. Its garden is open to the public just for a week and you can expect fabulous cherry blossoms with huge crowds.

お花見

こちらは大阪が誇る造幣局「桜の通り抜け」の風景。人が多いのはまだしも頻繁に流れる無意味な大音量場内放送は頂けませんね。

Frail beauty

Cherry blossoms [sakura] can bloom only for around a week.

この頃は桜を見ると美しさより儚さを感じるのであります。
